Why Grave Clothes Matters:

It is Evidence that Jesus Body was not stolen.

“Thieves don’t pause and fold Linens”

John 20:5-6

Jesus left them there

It was like saying :

I’m done with them !

He was leaving death behind!

What are we still wrapped up in?

John 11:1-3, 17-22, 43-44

Things about helping loose bound people:

People Can be brought to life but still bound.

“It can be messy.”

“It even can be Stinky”

Letting people help you get “unwrapped”

Can be embarrassing.

Lazarus was alive but still bound.

Jesus instructed the people around him to loose

Him and let him go free

If they had not helped him out of the grave clothes he would just stumbled around and not been free.

What are some thing we can be bound by?

Grave Clothes of sin and shame.

Grave clothes of trying to earn God’s approvel

Grave clothes of fear and doubt

Fear of failure,rejection

Fear keeps believers bound unable to walk in Freedom. Replace the Fear with Faith.
