America IS a Christian Nation!

Let's Make America . . . Great Again!  Psalm 33:12

WE HAVE ESTABLISHED THE HISTORY AND THE HEART OF THE FOUNDING OF OUR NATION.

It is this historical fact caused Kent Woodward of Newsweek Magazine who wrote, “How The Bible Made America”, in this article and I quote, “Now historians are discovering that the Bible, even perhaps more than the Constitution, is our founding document.”

JOHN ADAMS – 2 PRESIDENT OF THE USA: “Our Constitution was made only for a moral and religious people. It is wholly inadequate to the government of any other.”

THE DETOUR AWAY FROM THE BIBLE AND THE BELIEFS OF OUR FOUNDERS…

In the US Supreme Court, the case of Runkle VS Weinmiller, in 1799… Seven years after the first amendment established the freedom of religion. The decision of the court was, “ by our form of government. The Christian religion is the established religion.”

THE 1ST STONE IN THE WALL OF SEPARATION… IT ALL BEGAN IN 1947… That is the first time the United States Supreme Court used the term “SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.”

In the United States Supreme Court case Everson versus Board of Education: The state of New Jersey was using tax dollars to support religious schools. Back then only Catholic schools were supported.

The decision of the Supreme Court was read by justice, Hugo Black… And he quoted the decision… “This breaches, the separation of church and state, which is high and impregnable.”

THE 2ND STONE WAS FORMED IN THE U. S. SUPREME COURT CASE INGALL VS. VATULLI IN 1952.

STUDENT PRAYER: “Mighty God, we acknowledge our dependence upon Thee, and we beg Thy blessings upon us, our parents, our teachers, and our country.“

In the written document, in the decision of the supreme court, it says… “A union of government and religion tends to destroy government and degrade religion.”

John Quincy Adams said, “the highest glory of the American revolution was that it connected in one insoluble bond, the principles of civil government and the precepts of Christianity.“

THE 3RD STONE… THE ABINGTON SCHOOL DISTRICT VERSUS SHIM IN 1963. The US Supreme Court outlawed students gathering before school to read 10 verses of scripture to start their school day.

The statement in 1844 by the US Supreme Court…“Why may not the Bible, especially the New Testament be read and taught as divine revelation in the schools, it’s general precepts expounded, it’s evidence explained, and it’s glorious principles of immorality inculcated.“

THE FOURTH STONE IN THE WALL… In the case between Spahn versus DeKalb City School District… The US Supreme Court allowed an earlier ruling to stand.

POEM: ‘We thank you for the flowers, so sweet, we thank you for the food we eat, we thank you for the birds that sing, we thank you for everything.’

The US Supreme Court decided, “the state can no longer say these words… Even though the poem does not mention God… It could cause the children to think about God and that is unconstitutional.”

THE 5th STONE IN THE WALL WAS MADE IN 1970… The United States Supreme Court made this decision, “it is unconstitutional for a group of students to gather together on the school grounds, and read the prayer printed in the congressional record.”

Here is the 6th stone in the wall of separation… It is the US supreme court decision in 1980 in the case Stone versus Graham.

The Supreme Court decided, “you can no longer post these words, Thou shall not steal, thou shall not lie, thou shall not murder… And if the posted copies of the 10 Commandments are to have any effect at all, it will be to induce the school children to read, to meditate upon, perhaps to venerate and obey the commandments. However, desirable this may be for private devotion, it is not permissible as a state objective because of the establishment clause of the first amendment.“
