Motivational Gifts Defined . . . Romans 12:3-8

The Gifts of The Godhead . . . The Father; The Son; The Holy Spirit

We meet the Godhead in The Creation Story and at The Baptism of Jesus.

The Gifts of The Father . . . Life comes from . . .The Father - from Him we receive the Life Gifts [DNA, Fingerprint, Personality], Grace Gifts or MOTIVATIONAL GIFTS.

Every human has been given a Motivational Gift by The Father. . . Romans 12:6

Motivational Gifts - These gifts are inherent tendencies that characterize each different person by reason of the Creator's unique workmanship in their initial gifting.

  1. Tendencies
    1. Observation indicates that few people are fully described by one gift.
    2. More commonly a mix is found with different traits of each gift present to some degree.
    3. Usually, one gift will be dominant in an individual.
    4. REMEMBER: These gifts designate our place in God's created order - they are FOUNDATIONAL!

The Seven Motivational Gifts 

Prophecy - Ministry - Teaching - Exhortation - Giving - Leadership - Mercy

Motivational Gift:

  1. Prophecy
    1. To speak with forthrightness and insight, especially when enabled by The Spirit of God. . . Joel 2:28, Acts 2:16
    2. To demonstrate moral boldness and uncompromising commitment to worthy values. [9th Grade PE Coach]
    3. To influence others in one's arena of influence with a positive spirit of social or spiritual righteousness.
    4. Of all the motivational gifts prophecy is the only one found in all 3 categories of the Godhead Gifts.
